This painting was created whilst on an Artists residency at Nes which sits between the mountains and Sea on the northern tip of the Skagastrond peninsula. I spent a month there painting in the studio and drawing inspiration from my incredible surroundings. Above for snowline was inspired by my last few days in the country when I spend a day hiking up Skagastrond’s mountain, Spakonuffel.
